La question peut sembler secondaire, mais pour nous elle ne l\u2019est pas. Vous avez dit colocs<\/i> ?<\/p>\n

R\u00e9cemment, un des \u00e9tudiants qui vit \u00e0 La Grande Roche nous a fait remarquer : \u201cC\u2019est quand m\u00eame \u00e9trange de parler de colocs pour des personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es\u2026\u201d\u00a0<\/i>La question m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre pos\u00e9e : comment appeler les habitants de La Grande Roche ?<\/p>\n

Souvent, nous reprenons nos visiteurs lorsqu\u2019ils parlent de \u201cr\u00e9sidents\u201d. Ce mot ne nous correspond pas. Il renvoie \u00e0 une institution, \u00e0 un cadre m\u00e9dico-social, \u00e0 une forme de prise en charge. Or ici, chacun est chez soi.<\/p>\n

\u201cHabitants\u201d serait plus juste. Mais cela ne dit pas encore tout de la vie qui se tisse entre ces murs. Faut-il dire \u201cpersonnes \u00e2g\u00e9es\u201d, \u201cs\u00e9niors\u201d, ou m\u00eame \u201cvieux\u201d ? Ces mots ne sont pas faux. Mais ils enferment. Ils rangent dans des cases. Ils sugg\u00e8rent une forme de retrait, comme si cette \u00e9tape de la vie \u00e9tait d\u2019abord une mise \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cart.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Et puis, il y a eu cette d\u00e9couverte, venue d\u2019Espagne : \u201cjubilaire\u201d. Quand les colocs ont entendu ce mot, la r\u00e9action a \u00e9t\u00e9 imm\u00e9diate :\u00a0\u201cC\u2019est exactement nous, \u00e7a !\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cJubilaire\u201d vient du latin jubilare<\/i>, lui-m\u00eame issu de l\u2019h\u00e9breu yovel<\/i>, nous dit Wikipedia.\u00a0Il d\u00e9signe une ann\u00e9e particuli\u00e8re : une ann\u00e9e de lib\u00e9ration, de remise des dettes, de retour \u00e0 l\u2019essentiel. Une ann\u00e9e de joie. Le verbe latin jubilare <\/i>signifie d\u2019ailleurs : \u201cpousser des cris de joie\u201d.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u00catre jubilaire<\/i>, ce n\u2019est pas \u00eatre en retrait, c\u2019est entrer dans un autre temps.<\/p>\n

    \u00c0 La Grande Roche, nous voyons chaque jour que cette \u00e9tape peut \u00eatre pleinement habit\u00e9e, vivante et f\u00e9conde.<\/p>\n

    Nos colocs<\/em> – ou devrions-nous dire nos jubilaires<\/em> ! – ne sont pas l\u00e0 pour attendre.\u00a0Ils vivent, rient, partagent. Sans nier les difficult\u00e9s ou les souffrances qui demeurent. Mais ils red\u00e9couvrent une joie simple que la vie active avait mise de c\u00f4t\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Peut-\u00eatre que l\u2019enjeu n\u2019est finalement pas de trouver le mot parfait pour d\u00e9signer les habitants de La Grande Roche.\u00a0Mais bien de poser un regard juste.<\/p>\n
